Lagos State Government has dedicated the month of September as Domestic and Sexual Violence Awareness month. This is in line with the Administration’s commitment to preventing and responding to Sexual and Gender Based Violence.
It is to ensure victim’s safety and reduce the occurrence of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) in the State. As this will provide succor and justice for victims, whilst ensuring that perpetrators are held accountable to serve as deterrent to others.
Consequently, Monday 2nd September, 2024 has been dedicated to celebrate the Turn Alausa Purple Campaign. This year’s occasion is themed #SGB NOT ON MY WATCH
